My name is Melissa Toney and I am the President and Founder of Serving With A Purpose. Working in corporate America for more than two decades I switched lanes to education and that is where my passion and vision for impacting the lives of kids holistically began. Being in education I quickly began to realize how big the basic needs of students were, how they were not being met beyond the classroom and their families too were falling into many hardships. My passion to serve others grew into this sought out mission to start a nonprofit organization to help change lives beyond education. I attribute my heart for people to my parents Robert Toney Sr. and Dede Toney who modeled to me and my siblings what it means to serve others and love Christ. I have a bachelor's degree in business management and currently pursuing a Masters degree as a LPC. I also take great pride and joy of the title Mom to my daughter. My favorite quote and one I live by is "Be the Change You Want To See In The World" ~Ghandi
